The XBIZ Weekly Tech Watch

A virus alert tops this week's Tech Watch, along with previews of new startups and gadgets from around the worlds of science and technology.

• Facebook users should be aware of a new virus that's spreading by sending messages from hacked Facebook profiles. The messages include innocuous-looking links to web pages that resemble YouTube, but instead install the virus on users' computers. Facebook has responded to the attack online.

• For music lovers who are also iPhone owners, TuneWiki is a new application that provides lyrics for thousands of songs and displays them onscreen.

• Sony Ericsson has a new cell phone out.

• Movie fans will be excited to hear that "Iron Man" has hit on Blu-ray with a slew of special features.

• Interested in hacking your PSP to run homebrew programs? Gizmodo has a tutorial on the subject.

• Mozilla has unveiled a new project called Snowl. It's a Firefox plugin that aggregates all messaging – email, text messages, Twitter entries, etc – into one place.

Twitterfone.com lets users update their Twitter blogs using their voice.

• Another Twitter-based application is ToAnswer.net, which lets users solicit answers to questions posed to the Twitter community.

• Industry managers and employers who want to keep track of their employees' activity may want to check out IDidWork.com, a collaborative online application that lets workers keep track of their activity.

TicketStumbler.com searches for tickets to most big events – sporting, entertainment and otherwise.

• Are anti-gravity cars on the way?

• The Sun Table is an outdoor generator that doubles as a patio table.

• For the athletically inclined, this minimalist new bicycle has no spokes.

• Believe it or not, eight image-conscious knuckleheads spent $999 to buy a featureless and useless iPhone application called I Am Rich.

• Webmasters with RSS feeds, take note: Mloovi.com translates those feeds into 24 different languages.

• VOIP service Jajah.com has unveiled a new English-to-Chinese translation service.

• For industry professionals who like tracking the progress of new companies like it's a sporting event, YouNoodle.com can help keep track of them all.

• Yet another startup is out to aggregate the best of the blogosphere: ReGator.com.

• These Styrofoam houses not only look space-age, but they're also highly resistant to earthquakes.
